RFK Allen County Camp Positions

You don’t need any special skills or training to be an RFK Volunteer! Our volunteers come from all walks of life, from teachers to truck drivers. See how you can make a difference in the life of a child!

Camp Mentors

Mentors commit full time to the week at camp; they are there with the kids 24/7, and for every Mentor that comes to camp, two kids are able to come. New Mentors receive 16 hours of training, with 12 hours training each year. Your job as Mentor is to spend time with the campers in your cabin; to make each moment at camp matter and create positive memories that will last a lifetime!

Support Staff

Camp needs more than Mentors; it needs a large group of people around them to make sure camp runs. Support Staff roles are various, but each is integral to the mission of RFK Allen County. Support Staff personnel receive the same amount of training as Mentors (16 hours for new staff, 12 for returning). Main Support Staff responsibilities include assisting in setup and tear down of camp activities.
